OUR INITIATIVES
THE RED BANDANNA PROJECT
Social and emotional learning curriculum for young people Kindergarten-Undergraduate.
Our Social and Emotional Learning curriculum, inspired by the legacy of Welles Remy Crowther, is thoughtfully designed for students from Kindergarten through Undergraduate. It aims to cultivate essential skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, social awareness, and responsible decision-making. Developed by a team of seasoned educators with 30 to 40 years of expertise, this curriculum is supported by an advisory group of esteemed educational professionals, ensuring a robust and impactful learning experience for schools and youth programs.
Middle School Curriculum
Find full length lessons and worksheets for seven lessons, entitled Leadership, Caring for Others, TEAM, The Power of One, Bridging Divides, Forgiveness, and Carpe Diem, along with several "mini lessons" designed for shorter classroom sessions/advisory periods.
THE RED BANDANNA RUN
The Welles Crowther Red Bandanna 5k brings together Welles' family, friends, BC alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends from all over the country to celebrate and honor the life of this incredible individual.
In 2024, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of this cherished tradition, which has grown from an in-person event to include a virtual option, allowing even more people to participate in this meaningful tribute.
